Manjushaka Experience
May 24, 2017
FAST alumna back in Tsukuba. Prof. Dayo Montalbo visited Tsukuba this May. He introduced FAST members to Manjushaka's founder Mama Rosa. Manjushaka is a performance group sending their message of love and peace in their presentations. They are active in outreach and cultural activities in Japan and even worldwide. They have performed to street children in the Philippines before and been the official representative of Japan in diplomatic events. FAST is looking forward to see Mama Rosa and Manjushaka's performance again. (We hope that their performance in the Philippines will push through.)
Tsukuba Alumni Network (T-net)
April 16, 2017
University of Tsukuba is currently expanding its alumni network for better data base management and communication. By signing-up to the T-net, it could be a start of future collaboration or opportunities. Currently, overseas alumni are given a chance to be invited as speakers during Tsukuba Global Science Week (TGSW). Countries with organized alumni network (and members of T-net) could possibly host their own session during TGSW.
The Philippines is one of the countries with the most number of alumni (Undergraduate Students, Research Student, Short-Term Exchange Student, Teacher Trainees, Graduate Students, Post-docs, etc) coming from different fields of study. But as of April 2017, FAST has no visibility in this platform. The current students of FAST are now making some efforts so that we could be included in this program. Registering to T-net could be our first step to become connected to the current projects and visions of University of Tsukuba. T-net registration would only take five (5) minutes.
